      Tidal volume: The amount of air that enters the lungs during normal inhalation at rest
      Residual volume: The amount of air left in the lungs following a maximal exhalation.
      Vital capacity: The maximum amount of air that you can expel from your lungs after a maximum inhalation. 
       (or vice versa)
