Affirmative: (positive)
Subject + Verb (1st) + s/es + Object 

Examples:
I enjoy basketball.  
He works at Albert Heijn. 
We travel to school together. 
They like to go to the cinema (on Fridays).

Negations: (not - n't)
Subject + do/does + not + Verb (1st) + Object

Example:
I do not (don't) enjoy basketball. 
He does not (doesn't) work at Albert Heijn. 
We do not (don't) travel to school together. 
They do not (don't) like to go to the cinema.

Questions (Interrogative):
Do/Does + subject + Verb (1st) + Object + ?
- Is usually asked directly at someone.
- Ending with a question mark. 
Examples:
Do I like fruit?                                   Don't you (all) want to stay for dinner?
Do you speak English?                 Doesn't he like her?
Does he/she speak English?     
Do we know each other?
Do they like it here?

Using he/she/it - change spelling verb at the end

Rules (to do):
* Add an -es when a verb ends in -ch, -sh, –th, –ss, –x, or -z. 
* If the verb ends in a consonant followed by -y, change the -y to an -i and add –es. (Example: cry, fly, study, try)
