Present simple
We use the present simple to talk about 
1. things that are always true.
"water boils at 100 degrees"
"the president of the United States is Donald trump"
2. regular occurrences.
"We visit our grandparents on Sundays"
"John plays basketball every day"

Affirmative:
I/You/We/They + base verb →                                          I work, You play, They study.
He/She/It + base verb + -s/-es →                          She works, He plays, It watches.
Negative:
I/You/We/They + do not (don’t) + base verb →                                         I don’t work.
He/She/It + does not (doesn’t) + base verb →                             She doesn’t work.
Questions:
Do + I/You/We/They + base verb? →                                                           Do you work?
Does + he/she/it + base verb? →                                                             Does she work?

"It is raining right now"



Illegal tip: 
If you say "aan het" in dutch, you use the present continuous.

Subject + am/are/is + verb-ing →                                                              I am working.
Negative:
subject + am/are/is not + verb-ing →                                              I am not working.
Questions:
