 Adjectives

1. It was a great TV-show. (What was the TV-show? Great.)

2. The celebrity was talented. (What was the celebrity? talented.)

Je gebruikt een adjective om meer te vertellen over een zelfstandig naamwoord. (NL=bijvoegelijk naamwoord)

Een adjective staat (1) vóór het bijvoegelijk naamwoord of (2) na een vorm van to be. Vraag de what-vraag.

2. Rick Grimes ran quickly from the zombies. (How did Rick run? quickly)

3. Billie Eilish sang very beautifully. (How did Billie sing? Beautifully)

- Je gebruikt een adverb om meer te vertellen over een adjective, werkwoord of andere adverb. (NL=bijwoord)

- Je maakt een adverb door 'ly' achter de adjective te plaatsen (let op uitzonderingen). Ook woorden als always, never en often zijn adverbs.Vraag de how-vraag.
