Als een werkwoord op –y eindigt, eindigt de past simple op

''to stay'' ?

Past simple

Als de –y na een andere klinker komt ( a, e, i, o, u ), eindigt de past simple gewoon op –ed :

To stay - stayed

Past simple

Many verbs are irregular (onregelmatig):

- To be = was / were   (beened)

- To know = knew       (knowed)

- To make = made      (maked)

- To run = ran             (runned)
