Hulpwerkwoorden

should = zou moeten
must = moeten
have/has (got) to = iets moet van iemand anders

Must

Must (+not) + hele werkwoord

1.Jij vindt dat iets (niet) moet/ belangrijk is.. 

2. Levensreddend advies (krachtiger dan should)

3. Als het echt niet anders kan, het moet zo zijn

4.  Het is bij wet/regelement verplicht.

You must have a valid ticket in order to enter.
I must finish this essay today. I’m going out tomorrow.

Have to

has/have to + hele werkwoord

1. Iets moet van iemand anders, niet van jou.

2. 'Het is nodig' -> noodzaak

Mum says I have to do the dishes.
I have to finish this essay today. We have to hand them in tomorrow

Should

Should = zou (niet) moeten.

Formule: Should  (+not) + hele werkwoord

1. Je geeft een advies of , bij ontkenningen, je raadt iets af.

Have to in ontkenningen

Als je have to in ontkennende zinnen gebruikt, dan verandert de betekenis van 'moeten' in 'niet hoeven'.
