Last time we worked on future plans for your oral examination (hand-in today in Itslearning)Today we are going to read, since next week you will have a reading test at school!The second part of the lesson we are going to work on your oral examination part 3: kennis van land en volk. At the end of this lesson you will have worked on your oral examination and practised your reading skills

Make and give a presentation about a topic that is related to either the UK or the USA (‘Kennis van Land en Volk’). Below are some example topics, however, you are free to find a different one yourself if you want, as long as it reflects your particular knowledge of the UK or the USA

Look up a text that is related to the topic of your choice and do the text analysis assignments (see below) in order to be well-prepared for this part. Your presentation should include related video fragment, see if you can use the video fragment you have selected in relation to you text. If not, find another one for your presentation.

1. The English speaking world	2. Geography of the UK/the USA	3. History of the UK or the USA until the 20th century	4. History of the UK or the USA from the 20th century onwards
5. The British or American constitution (staatsinrichting)	6. Elections in the UK or the USA	7. British or US national holidays	8. Educational system in the UK or the USA, compared to the Dutch system

KLV assessment

Your presentation will be assessed on the quality of your speaking skills, i.e. pronunciation, grammar, idiom, fluency, quality of the content, the amount of text on the slides, the use of pictures, graphics, video, maps, figures, time management (it should not last much longer or shorter than 10 minutes)

Gezien deze opdracht iets uitgebreider is dan de rest, zet ik deze opdracht in Itslearning voor over twee weken donderdag 29 april. Succes met de laatste opdracht voor het mondeling
