Tools and strategies for
preparation of the presentation:

Eerst inloggen in LessonUp.

Als ze onrustig zijn dit mondeling doen.

Preparation strategies:

• Copy key words from the texts.
• Use synonyms to avoid repetition.
• Use Dutch word then look up the English (interglot.nl).
  
• Use linking words to structure the text. (Next, previous, another ...)
  
• Use referencing words to link information. (His, this...)
• Use a to-do list (cross off + add new key words)

Speaking strategies:

• Use as many words from the assignment.
• Describe something if you forgot the word.
• Use synonyms to avoid repetition.
• Use Dutch word if you can't remember the English.
  
• Use linking words to structure the text.
• Use referencing words to link information.
• Use cue cards / key words for cribbing (spieken)
  

Deze LessonUp is hulpmiddel, kun je nog een keer bekijken als je de presentatie voorbereid. Vandaar de herhaling van de meest voorkomende strategieën.

Na de afsluiting is nog een dia met links naar hulpsites/youtube filmpjes met uitleg.

Writing process:

• Make writing outline = to-do list. Include synonyms + words from assignment + mandatory elements
  
• Write your 'speech'
  
• Read your 'speech' out loud (time this! note words not sure off = next lesson)
  
• Adjust: = re-write to perfect it
