Examentraining: predicting your actions

Practice

Today we are going to practice with exam texts in a different way.

You are going work on predicting what to expect, how long it may take you and working with difficult words

Step 1

I will show you a text title and a picture.

You tell me what you think the text is about.
What words can you expect? Talk about it with your neighbour. Write them down.

Look at the text. How long do you think you need to read it and write down words you don't know?

Give me some guesses.

Step 3

Now: read the whole text and write down words you don't know on the paper I handed out.

I will time you!

Step 4

Compare the words you wrote down and compare with your neighbour's list. Do you have the same words? Or are they different?  Help eachother in finding the meaning of the words.
