In English there are 8 parts of speech

In Dutch you call them: woordsoorten

The parts of speech

Noun = zelfst.nw

Pronoun = pers. vnw

Verb = ww

Adjective = bijv. nw

Adverb = bijwoord

Preposition = voorzetsel

Conjunction =voegwoord

Interjection = tussenwerpsel

Example sentences

- John drove in a very pink car, and, yikes, he disliked the color. 

- I saw John driving an extremely ugly car today, so I called him and said: darn! You should buy a new car, man!

Verb = werkwoord

Adjective = bijvoeglijk naamwoord

Adverb = bijwoord

Noun = zelfstandig naamwoord

Pronoun = persoonlijk voornaamwoord

PRONOUN: I, both, he, her, our, she, we, you, 

ADVERB: easily, happily, today, near, cheerfully, sadly, neatly, now, 

ADJECTIVE: small, blue, round, three, smooth, many, nice, loud.

Work with the noun 'the student'

Write down at least 10 adjectives, verbs, adverbs and places.

Stick them in the right place
