  • What's a future arrangement?
  • A plan that you have decided on/organised with another person
  • for example: We're meeting Sally at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon

Future arrangements
  • Sometimes the arrangement is between a person and a group of people, or an organisation or company, for example:
  • I'm working during the Christmas holidays. 
  • They are flying to Paris tomorrow morning.

The present continuous tense is mainly used to talk about personal arrangements and fixed plans. Be going to can also be used to express the same idea; however, it puts an extra emphasis on the idea of intention. I am going to get a new job. (= I intend to get a job.)
