Answer questions about a text, using the strategy.

Say what the main idea is for each text.

1. Dolphins live in the ocean.
2. There are different species of dolphins.
3. Dolphins are mammals.
4. How dolphins care for their young.

1. The Louisiana Purchase secured the right to passage along the Mississipi River.
2. The map shows the area of the Louisiana Purchase.
3. President Jefferson signed a treaty with the French government.
4. The Louisiana Purchase was important in the expansion of the USA.

1. The paragraph is from a book The Wizard of Oz, by L. Frank Baum.
2. It was a beautiful city of green.
3. They had arrived in Emerald city.
4. The buildings and streets looked like jewels.
