Als je wil weten of iemand er net zo over denkt als jij, kun je een tag questions achter je zin plakken.

Stap 1: Herhaal het werkwoord

Als er een vorm van to be, have got of een hulpwerkwoord (can, could, should, will, would, must, shall) in de zin staat.

This is easy, isn't it?

Jack has got a tidy room, hasn't he?

You can walk home, can't you?

Tag questions

Stap 1: Herhaal het werkwoord

Bij alle andere hoofdwerkwoorden, gebruik je

do/don't / does/doesn't / did/didn't

Roy lives with his mom, doesn't he?

Peter and John don't play football, do they?

She laughed at you, didn't she?

Stap 2: Maak het werkwoord ontkennend (-) of bevestigend (+)

Als de zin bevestigend (+) is, is de tag question ontkennend (-)

Robbie is fantastic, isn't he?

Als de zin ontkennend (-) is, is de tag question bevestigend (+)

Your aunt and uncle live on a farm, don't they?

You haven't got a cat, have you?

Your brothers don't have any chores, do they?

Stap 3: Zet het persoonlijk voornaamwoord erachter

Afgeleid van het onderwerp: I, you, he, she, it, we, they

The house looks great, doesn't it?
