Present Simple

Wanneer gebruik je de Present Simple?

• Als iets een gewoonte is: "I eat breakfast every morning."
• Als iets een feit is: "The snow on the ground is white."
• Als iets regelmatig wel of niet gebeurd: "We always walk the dog after dinner."
  

Hoe maak je de Present Simple?

• Door het hele werkwoord te gebruiken.
  
• Let op: she/he/it = hele werkwoord + s (SHIT-regel)
  

       -> I like chocolate.

       -> She/he/it likes chocolate.

       -> We like chocolate.

       -> They like chocolate.

Hoe maak je de Present Simple vragend?

'do' of 'does' + onderwerp + het hele werkwoord.

Does gebruik je bij she/he/it (SHIT-regel).

Hoe maak je de Present Simple ontkennend?

onderwerp + 'don't' of 'doesn't' + hele werkwoord.

Doesn't gebruik je bij she/he/it (SHIT-regel).

Present Continuous

Wanneer gebruik je de Present Continuous?

• Als iets nu gebeurt  OF  op dit moment bezig is.

       "I am walking to school right now."

       "My sister is playing the guitar."

Hoe maak je de Present Continuous

onderwerp + 'is/am/are' + hele werkwoord + 'ing'

• I am talking too fast.
• He is talking too fast.
• We are talking too fast.
  

Hoe maak je de Present Continuous vragend?

' is/am/are' + onderwerp + hele werkwoord + 'ing'

• Am I talking too fast?
• Is he talking too fast?
• Are we talking too fast?
  

Hoe maak je de Present Continuous ontkennend?

onderwerp + 'is/am/are' + NOT + hele werkwoord + 'ing'
