What: Write an invitation to a birthday party.

How:   Pick one of these six pictures and write the
              invitation. Write down: who you are writing to, 

              why you are writing, the location, what you might

              need and the date for the party. Make it in Docs. 

Help:   Your book or neighbour. I will walk around to

               answer questions.

Time:   15 minutes.

Result: You have practised with making an appointment.

Finished? Add what kind of present you want and why.

What:  You and your classmate were going to meet up to watch a movie, but now it turns out one                 of you can't make it. 

How:    In your duo, one plays the friend who couldn't make it. Talk to your classmate about                             rescheduling. Talk about: Why one of you couldn't go, what the other person thinks of                         that, the new date and time and  where you will meet up. 

Help:    Your book or neighbour. I will walk around to answer questions.

Time:    10 minutes to prepare, 5 minutes to present

Result:  You have rescheduled your appointment to a day and time where you

                 can both go.

Finished? Practise your conversation. You might get picked to do it in 

front of the class :)

Listening

What:   Audio fragment about voicemails and dates

How:     You are going to listen to an audio fragment with voice mails. Write                      down all the dates you can hear in the correct way. After we are done                  listening we will discuss the answers.

Help:     Your ears and brain :)

Time:    10 minutes to listen and compare, 5 minutes to discuss.

Result:  You can recognise dates.
