What do I expect of you?
  • Try to speak as much English as possible. 
  • Be mindful, respectful & communicate!
  • Be on time: more than 5 minutes = too late. 
  • Raise your hand if you have a question and be silent during explanations of me or a student. 
  • Bags are on the ground, phones in your bags. 
  • No eating in the classroom (gum included), drinking water is allowed.

-Drill music has captured headlines since it started to emerge in the UK in 2012. With its often provocative lyrics, it's been blamed by police for fuelling violence.
-How Serena Williams rewrote the playbook for female athletes juggling motherhood and sport. 
- Schoolgirls in Iran have been waving their headscarves in the air and chanting against clerical authorities, in an unprecedented show of support for the protests engulfing the country.

Part 1: news article (+/- 10 min.)
  • choose an English article/text from the internet that you find interesting. 
  • The article should be minimum 250 words. 
  • You underline all the difficult words and give a translation/description of the words.
  • You write your own summary of the article (150 words)
  • You give your own opinion about the article (100 words)

How to prepare?
  • In class with the tasks we will do. 
  • Practice with classmates and speak English to eachother. 
  • Use the correct grammar and vocabulary, but more important speak freely and do not hesitate!
