We will go through the 'Theory' parts , including some

examples.

Maybe this sometimes isn't completely clear to you.

Don't worry, it is an Introduction, to get familiar with it.

Natural numbers-what's that?! Look below!

A few new words:

-  digit = cijfer (0 ,1 ,2 etc.)

-  is determined by = wordt bepaald door

some examples:

Task 1:
What is the value (waarde) of
the digit (getal) 6 in
567 874 ?

1. 67 874
2. 6 x 10 000
3. 60 000
4. 6 000

567 874

Solution:

the number 6 in this number means

60 000   or   6 x 10 000

The value of numbers again:

The meaning of    1 000 000 000   is:

In English: a billion

(ons biljoen = 1 000 000 000 000 !)
