Adjectives & Adverbs

Aan het einde van de les kun je:

• vertellen wat een bijvoeglijk naamwoord is;
  
  
•  vertellen wat een bijwoord is;
  
  
• een bijvoeglijk naamwoord/bijwoord toepassen in een Engelstalige zin.

Bijvoeglijk naamwoord

• Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord (adjective) zegt iets over een mens, plant, dier of ding (zelfstandig naamwoord). 
• Vaak gaat dit om uiterlijk of gedrag.

I don't like the red skittles. 

The old man was dancing on the street.

4. The weather is nice.

Bijwoorden

• Een bijwoord (adverb) zegt iets over een werkwoord.
  Je kan dan vragen: Hoe doet iemand iets?
  Voorbeeld: My father walks slowly.
  Voorbeeld: Our teacher talks clearly.
  
• Een bijwoord kan ook iets zeggen over een bijvoeglijk naamwoord. 
  Je kan dan vragen: Hoe sterk, lief, enz is iemand?
  Voorbeeld: My father is a incredibly strong man.

Bijwoorden

• Een bijwoord herken je vaak aan de letters - ly aan het einde van een woord.

loud         - loudly
silent       - silently

sad           - sadly
