Lesson goal 

You will learn how to say that something is or is not allowed.

Na vandaag kun je vertellen of iets wel of niet is toegestaan 

to be allowed to: Als iets is toegestaan volgens de regels.

I am allowed to use my laptop.

She's allowed to drive a car.

They're allowed to take pictures.

To be not allowed to: Als iets NIET is toegestaan volgens de regels.

I'm not allowed to forget my books.

He isn't allowed to use his phone.

We are not allowed to be late.

Can: Als iets mag / kan.

She can go to the party.

Can't: Als iets NIET mag / kan.

Max can't play football tonight.

Could: Is de beleefde vorm van can (betekent hetzelfde!).

Could you help me with my bags?
