Adjectives (bv nw)
We use Adjectives to say something about a Noun (zelfstandig naamwoord)
Examples:
  • This is an awesome product!
  • What I like best about my bike, is that it is green.
  • I wouldn't go see it, it was a terrible film.

If you can answer the question: What kind of ....? You are dealing with an Adjective.

Adverbs (bijwoord)
We use Adverbs to say something about Verbs, Adjectives, other Adverbs and sometimes a complete sentence.
Examples:
  • We calmly waited for 10 minutes, but still they didn't help us.
  • Our new oven works wonderfully.
  • The car doesn't drive very quickly.
  • Unfortunately, he passed away this morning.
Is you can asnwer the question: How does it .... ? You are dealing with an Adverb.
