  • In England alone, in 2017 there were more than 1,000 music festivals.
  • The very first music festival in the world (as we know it right now) is woodstock festival. This was hosted in 1969.
  • One festival in Austria had over 3.3 million visitors spread over 3 days
  • At music festivals about 46% of the attendees are female
  • In 2013 all festivals together costed its visitors more than 3.3 billion USD!!!
  • On average, about 20-30 music bands/acts play on one festival
  • Glastonbury festival is the longest running festival, it started in 1969.
