Adjectives
Adjectives geven meer informatie over zelfstandig naamwoorden:
"The quick brown fox jumps over the tall fence."
"The scary clown follows you to your green home."

Adverbs
Bijwoorden zeggen iets over frequentie (hoe vaak gebeurt iets) of hoe iets gebeurt. 
"He quickly reads the paper."

bijwoorden kunnen we gebruiken bij: bnw, ww, en andere bw.
De meeste bijwoorden maken we door -ly achter het bijvoeglijk nw. te zetten.
