What is an adverb?

Een 'adverb' (bijwoord) is een woord dat iets zegt over een 'verb' (werkwoord), een bijvoeglijk naamwoord of een hele zin.

bijvoorbeeld:  She can sing beautifully

                              She is really beautiful.

                              Fortunately she will be present tonight.

Hoe maak je een adverb?

door +ly te plakken
bijvoorbeeld:

That music is loud --> He is talking loudly

Please be quiet. --> and whisper quietly
