Learning goals 

I know how to use classroom language, and how to spell it. 

I know how much English I learned in primary school

Classroom language 

- Take your notebook (schrift) and a pen

- Below each other, write down the numbers 1 - 16 

- Then draw a vertical line in the middle of the page 

- I am going to dictate (dicteren) words and short sentences to you. Write    WHAT I SAY on the right side and leave the right side empty for now. 

- After I've given you all the words, write down the translations (vertalingen) 

Now check your neighbour's work! 

- Answers on the next slide. 

- Use a pen or pencil of a different colour 

- Translation and spelling correct? Two points. 

- Translation correct but spelling mistake IN THE ENGLISH WORD? One point. 

- Translation wrong? No points. 

Example:    leraar - teacher : all correct. 2 points.
                       leraar - taecher: translation correct but spelling wrong: 1 point 
                       leraar - chapter: wrong, no points
