Past simple

Is in het verleden gebeurd en is voorbij.

Hoe maak je de past simple?     Regelmatige ww: + ed    &     Onregelmatige ww: 2e vorm

Wanneer of waaraan kun je zien of je deze tijd moet hebben?

           Als er een tijdsbepaling in staat die verwijst naar het verleden.

           Bijv. this morning, yesterday, last night, in 2002, the other day, when (= toen), a few minutes ago, etc.

I went to the cinema last night.

He saw his grandma yesterday.

She travelled to many countries in 2003. 

Present perfect

1.  Is in het verleden begonnen en is nu nog aan de gang.

2. Het resultaat is nog zichtbaar/merkbaar.

Hoe maak je de present perfect?      has of have + voltooid deelwoord: 

                                                                                                         regelmatige ww: + ed 

                                                                                                         onregelmatige ww: 3e vorm

Wanneer of waaraan kun je zien of je deze tijd moet hebben?

 

1. Als er in de zin één van de volgende signaalwoorden staat: 

      just, already, never, for, recently, yet, lately, ever, since, how long, up to now of bijv. today.

Bijv. I have just phoned him. 

2. Als uit de zin blijkt dat er nog iets met het resultaat gedaan wordt of nog zichtbaar is.

      Bijv. I am happy, because I have passed my exams.
