• Theme: Buitengesloten? (left out?), uitgesloten! (big fat no!)
• In the last mentor lesson we already kicked off the week. 
• Today we will talk about this topic again. 

Stand up statements

• You will see some statements projected on the board.
  
  
• Do you agree? Please stand on the right side of the classroom. 
• Do you disagree? Please go to the left side. 

Statement 1

Bullying will always be there.

Statement 2

Bullying is part of society and prepares you for the real world.

Statement 3

As a student, there is nothing you can do about bullying. 

Statement 4

ISUtrecht is doing enough to prevent bullying.

What is bullying?

• Sit down in groups of 4.
• Can you come up with a definition of bullying? 
• Think about it individually first.
• Then try to come up with one definition as a group. Write it down.
  
  >>> Do not use your laptops or phones!

• Being excluded or being left out of a group is a part of bullying. 
• Especially, when it is on purpose and when happens over and over again.  
• On the other hand, you cannot be friends with everybody (and that is okay). 
  
  
• But how can we make sure that everyone here feels included?

3. What should the school/teachers do to prevent exclusion of students?
