Linking words zijn dus belangrijk!!

Linking words

zijn woorden die twee zinnen of zinsdelen met elkaar verbinden

example

I am going home. I am going to eat pizza.

I am going home and I am going to eat pizza.

Linking words are important because.....

...they show the relationship between ideas in sentences and paragraphs

....they have different functions and positions in the sentences

Subordinators are linking words that join clauses together and can be used at the beginning of the middle of a sentence

Sentence connectors are placed at the beginning of a sentence
