Writing exc. 1

• What? Answer the questions in exc. 1a, using full sentences. Then write down the name of your favourite celebrity and his or her relationship status. Also write down 5 keywords that describe his or her appearance

• What? Have a look at the sentences in exc. 3a. Which of these sentences indicate that something happened in the past, but doesn't happen anymore.

Used to

• Gebruik je om te verwijzen naar gewoontes en situaties in het verleden.
• NL --> 'Vroeger ... '
• Vorm werkwoord : used to + het hele werkwoord 

Used to in vragende zinnen

• Did ... use to + hele werkwoord
• LET OP! je gebruikt al verleden tijd bij 'did' dus krijg je 'use to' en geen 'used to'
• Did he use to cycle to school every day? 

Used to in ontkennende zinnen

• Didn't use to + hele werkwoord
• LET OP! ook hier weer geen -d achter use omdat je de verleden tijd al gebruikt heb in didn't.
• They didn't use to visit their grandparents regularly. 

Exc. 4 

• What? Read the sentences and see if you can determine the difference in meaning between all, every and each. Then fill in the grammar box on p. 24 and check if you did so correctly using the study box.
• How? Individually or in pairs, low noise level
• Time? 7 minutes

• Done? Write down 3 sentences which to you illustrate the difference between all, every and each. So 1 sentence in which you use all correctly, 1 in which you use every correctly and 1 in which you use each correctly.

Listening exc. 12

• What? Step 1: Listen to Talking to People at Pier 39. Pay special attention to how Joanne describes people. Write down their names, description, where they're from and their plans. Use keywords.There are no pauses.
• Step 2: Compare your answers to a classmate's. Did you write down the same things? Talk about your answers. You may listen again if you want.
