Suppose you work for the city of Amsterdam or any other city in the Netherlands. You may likely get enquiries from people who are not fluent enough in Dutch so you will have to help them in English and will also have to refer them, to the English content on the city's website. This lesson will give you an idea of what kind of questions you could get and how to answer those questions.

You are working at the City of Amsterdam in the department that checks whether people qualify for a social assistance benefit or not. You have to send Erik Broersma a letter that, unfortunately, he doesn’t qualify.

The letter should:

• Be formal

• Include why he doesn’t qualify ( you decide)

• Include what other help there is for people with a low income
