Last week you learned to navigate through the 'City of Amsterdam' website. You also wrote a letter to Erik Broersma, whom did not qualify for a  social assistance benefit. 

This week you will be working together with the other Excellent  students. So, before you start this lesson, make sure you start a  group chat with the five of you. 

Erik Broersma has replied. He would like to make an appointment  to discuss further options that are available to him.

What other options are there for him? What steps could he take?

Your assignment for this week is to do a roleplay. Since there is five of you, you will have to work out a way to make it still work for you (maybe one of you can take on two roles).  If you have any problems figuring this out, don't hesitate to contact us. 

• film the conversation (on Teams, for example) 
•  the conversation should take +/- 7 minutes 
• send the video to us via teams or email

One of you takes on the role of Erik, that means the other one is the 'City of Amsterdam' employee.

you will have a conversation where: 

•  Erik explains why he cannot make ends meet 
• the employee explains (again) why Erik doesn't qualify for the social assistance benefit 
• you discuss what options and solutions there are for Erik 
• you create an actionplan that works for Erik
