Learning Objective
At the end of the lesson you will be able to relate the five senses to the nervous system and understand how they work together.

Slide 2 - Diapositive

Introduce the learning objective of the lesson and explain what the students will be able to accomplish by the end of the lesson.

Introduction
The nervous system is responsible for controlling all of our body's functions, including our five senses. Let's explore how our senses are related to the nervous system.

Slide 6 - Diapositive

Introduce the topic and explain the importance of understanding the relationship between the senses and the nervous system.

Sight
Our eyes receive light and send signals to the brain through the optic nerve. The brain then interprets these signals to create the images we see.

Slide 9 - Diapositive

Explain how the eyes work to send visual information to the brain and how the brain interprets this information.
Hearing
Our ears receive sound waves and send signals to the brain through the auditory nerve. The brain then interprets these signals to create the sounds we hear.

Slide 10 - Diapositive

Explain how the ears work to send auditory information to the brain and how the brain interprets this information.

Taste and Smell
Our taste buds and olfactory receptors work together to send signals to the brain about the flavors and scents we experience. These signals are sent through the gustatory and olfactory nerves.

Slide 14 - Diapositive

Explain how taste and smell work together to create our sensory experiences and how these signals are sent to the brain.
Touch
Our skin contains receptors that send signals to the brain about temperature, pressure, and pain. These signals are sent through the somatosensory nerves.

Slide 15 - Diapositive

Explain how touch sensations are sent to the brain through our skin and how the brain interprets this information.

Review
The nervous system plays a crucial role in our sensory experiences. Each of our senses sends signals to the brain through specialized nerves, allowing us to experience the world around us.

Slide 17 - Diapositive

Review the key points of the lesson and emphasize the importance of the nervous system in our sensory experiences.
Write down 3 things you learned in this lesson.

Slide 18 - Question ouverte

Have students enter three things they learned in this lesson. With this they can indicate their own learning efficiency of this lesson.
Write down 2 things you want to know more about.

Slide 19 - Question ouverte

Here, students enter two things they would like to know more about. This not only increases involvement, but also gives them more ownership.
Ask 1 question about something you haven't quite understood yet.

Slide 20 - Question ouverte

The students indicate here (in question form) with which part of the material they still have difficulty. For the teacher, this not only provides insight into the extent to which the students understand/master the material, but also a good starting point for the next lesson.
