Hardware components guide 
  • You are going to create a guide of all the hardware components we use inside of a computer.

  • This guide will contain information about what each part does along with images for reader to look at.

The CPU
  • CPU stands for Central Processing Unit.

  • The CPU is known as the brain because it is used to process data and instructions
                                      
  •                                         This is a CPU, its very small and takes up very little space inside the PC.

The Motherboard
  • The motherboard is the main circuit board of a computer.
  • All components (parts) of the computer are connected to the motherboard, even the CPU. 

  • The motherboard acts like the skeleton because it connects everything.

The Hard Drive 
  • The hard drive is the computer’s long-term memory. All programs and files (Pictures, videos, documents, games)  are stored.

  • It doesn’t matter how many times you turn your computer on or off, the programs and your data will always be there.

  • A graphics card displays images and videos on your monitor.

  • Modern graphics cards come with in built fans to keep then cool.

  • Often modern graphics card are the most expensive part of a pc build.

Touch Screens
A touch screen is the only device which works as both an input and an output device.

You view the options available to you on the screen (output) and you then use your finger to touch the option that you have chosen (input).
