Adverbs of frequency

Generally go between the subject and the verb: I often go shopping

If there is a form of "to be" they go after the verb. 

I am usually shopping at the weekends. 

NB. Some adverbs of frequency , if the emphasis (nadruk) is on the frequency they can go at the beginning or end of the sentence: frequently, usually, normally, occassionally, sometimes and often.

Adverbs in of Frequency in questions

In questions, the adverb cannot go in the beginning position.

Negatives

Let op: met een korte zin zet de bijwoord van manier na de werkwoord.

(carefully - no emphasis) Tony walked around all the broken glass on the floor.

(sometimes - with emphasis) I play tennis in the summer holidays.
