•  You are going to go through the presentation and practice in your own pace. 
  
• The presentation covers some basic skills but also focuses on the areas where you want to practice.
•  Level Basic Kowledge.
•  Level Extra Practice.
•  Level Extra Challenge.

Learning Objectives

- Students can reflect on their writing skills and see where they can improve.

- Students can identify common mistakes made in a writing.

- Students know how to avoid common mistakes. 

- Students can apply the skills learned today in new writing assignments.

Analyse Writing Practice

- Look at your writing practice.

- What can you improve on? Make some notes

- Keep those notes in check while going through the presentation. 

- Make the right choice in level by looking at your assignment.

Common Mistakes

Too Or To?

Too?  

Meaning: te, ook

Examples:

- It is too hot. (te)

- I like coffee, too. (ook)

To?

Do you want to say something else? Then you need use: "to"

Examples:

- I do not want to help you.

- I need to use your phone.

Use to make comparisons (vergelijkingen)

Writing Assignment

Everybody dreams about the future.

What would you like to be? 

Where do you see
yourself in ten years ‘time?
 

Draw up a portrait of yourself as you see yourself in ten years time.

IN TEN YEARS TIME I WILL BE …..

Some Guidelines

 1. Make sure you introduce yourself & your job (or position)
 2. At least ten sentences about your daily activities 
      (You could also describe a day at work)

3. The place where you work. 

     (at least 3 sentences about the company, what kind of
     company, where it is situated, and other details, e.g.)

4. Five sentences or more about your personal life 

     (married, children, hobbies etc.)

5. Your story should be written in the present tense (as if it is ten years later)

Want an extra Challenge?

Write the assignment in the future tense. 

So, as if it is now and you write about what your goals are in 10 years!
