1. Character statement
Choose one of the characters from your character map.

A reporter approaches you and wants to know if you would like to make a comment for the newspaper.  Give a short (50-100 word response) about your part in this incident.  Put yourself in the character's shoes.  How would they respond?

2. Online research task
This task requires your internet research skills.

Find a similar case to that of Tony Martin's.

In approx. 150 words explain:
What did you choose and why?
What are the similarities
What are the differences
A brief summary of what you have said (Pictures are also welcome)

3. Debate (during test week at school)
You should now have a clear date and time for your meeting.
The meeting should last 20 minutes.
Adam Deuchars and Piet Drabbe will be present during your debate.
You as students are in control of the debate.  Make sure everybody gets an equal opportunity to speak.
Interact with each other and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Some suggestions:
Try to add structure to the debate:
Introduction (what did you think of the Tony Martin case)?
What other cases did you find?  What was the outcome?
What did you think of the judges' decision?
What could have happened if he was found innocent?
Conclusion (agree as a group what you would have done)  Found him guilty/innocent?  How long in prison?
