Many verbs have the construction: verb + preposition + object

We talked about the problem.

If the object is a verb, it becomes an -ing form.

We talked about going home.

Expression + -ing

It's no use / It's no good / It's not worth / have trouble / have difficulty / spend time / waste time / be busy are always followed by an -ing form

He spent hours / sit in the sun.
He spent hours ____ in the sun.

It's not worth / take a taxi.
It's not worth ___ a taxi.

It's no use / ask him.
It's no use ___ him.

It's no good / try to win.
It's no good ___ to win.
