Maatwerk Week

Leerdoelen

1. I can practice language items such as vocabulary, grammar, etc.

2. I can speak  interactively  – a speaking fluency aim.

Voorbereiding

1. Lees voordat je een spreekopdracht gaat doen de hele opdracht goed door.

2. Zorg dat je alle elementen uit de opdracht ook verwerkt in je gesprek 

3. Schrijf een spreekopdracht nooit helemaal uit, dan klinkt het alsof je iets voorleest.

4. Zorg dat je de opdracht minimaal TWEE keer hardop oefent.

Tip 1

Soms kun je tijdens een gesprek niet op een Engels woord komen. 

Probeer het woord dan te omschrijven  (wat je ermee kunt doen, vorm, grootte, kleur, etc)

Je kunt ook het tegenovergestelde woord  (Example: It's not mean = complicated)

Als je in een gesprek iets niet begrijpt, kun je om uitleg vragen.

-Can you explain what ..... means?

-What do you mean?

Tip 3

Als je gesprekspartner te snel praat, kun je vragen of hij langzamer praat.

-Could you speak more slowly, please?

Als je iets niet hebt verstaan, kun je vragen of je gesprekspartner het herhaalt.

-Can you say that again, please?

- What did you say?

- I didn't catch that. Can you repeat that, please?

Het is iet erg als je tijdens een presentatie de draad even kwijt bent. Haal diep adem en maakt een van deze:

- Now, where was I? Oh yes...

- I'm sorry. I forgot what I wanted to say next. Let me start over again.

Stel niet teveel vragen die met je of nee beantwoord kunnen worden.

Gebruik liever vragen die met wh beginnen.
