Prepositions

Preposition of instrument	by	talk about transportation	She travelled by bus.
	with	use of machine, other devices	I sketched with charcoal.
Preposition of connection	of	part of something	At the end of the semester.
	with	things or people that are together	They went to the shop with Babette.
	to	physical connections	The plug is attached to the wall.
Preposition of origin	from	where someone or something is from	She is from Brazil.
Preposition of direction	into, across, away, down, around, off, over, through, to etc.	in which direction somthing or someone is moving	She packed the dishes into the cupboard. She walked around the puddle of water.

Grammar 1: prepositions

Little / few (=weinig)

Little / few = weinig

a little / a few = een beetje / een paar

little = enkelvoud / ontelbaar

few = meervoud / telbaar

Much / many / a lot of

'Much', 'many' & 'a lot of' betekenen allemaal 'veel'.

Bevestigende zinnen	We have a lot of money.	They have a lot of friends.
Ontkennende zinnen	We don't have much money.	They don't have many friends.
Vragende zinnen	Do we have much money?	Do they have many friends?

Much & many = veel
