Writing Assignment

You are going to write about organizing a dinner for your friends.
The message to your friends will consist of:
A shopping list with all ingredients you need to make a dinner an dessert. 
Write at least 30 words in which you explain what you need in the supermarket and what you are going to make with the ingredients.

You can use your laptop to look up recipes, and your book to look up vocabulary and theme words.

Basisregel: om de meervourdsvorm van een woord te maken zet je er een +S achter.  

NOOOOOOOIT 'S !!

Er zijn een aantal uitzonderingen.

Woorden met een sis-klank +es

Woorden die eindigen op een medeklinker - y veranderen in -ies

• Party - Parties
• Boy - Boys
• Let op medeklinker!

Woorden die eindigen op f/fe =ves

• Leaf - Leaves
• Wife - Wives

Woorden die eindigen op een -o + es

• Tomato = tomatoes

Woorden die niet mee doen aan de regel: 

• Child = children 
• Woman = Women 
• Mouse = Mice 
• etc.

Uitzondering 1:

woorden die eindigen op een sis-klank (s, ch, x etc.) krijgen +es

kiss = three kisses

At the supermarket

Work in pairs. One of you is a customer in a supermarket and the other one is a salesman. The customer begins the conversation. Switch roles.

– The customer asks where to find three items + their price

– The sales person explains where to find them + the prices.

– The customer writes down the prices and thanks the sales person
