Past Simple

De past simple refereert naar een uitgevoerde actie in het verleden.

Voorbeelden Past Simple

John Cabot sailed to America in 1498.

He lived in Fiji in 1976.

We crossed the Channel yesterday.

Past Simple

De past simple refereert altijd naar WANNEER iets gebeurt is, dus wordt vaak gecombineerd met bepaalde tijdsindicaties.

last week, when I was a child, yesterday, six weeks ago

the other day, ages ago, a long time ago

etc...

vorm Past Simple

Onderwerp + stam werkwoord + -ed

vb: Walk

"I walked to class this morning."

uitzondering: Onregelmatige werkwoorden. Leer deze.
