Today's goal is to learn when and how to use the future tense (= toekomende tijd) will and practise watching.

Grammar - Toekomst: Will

Gebruik:

• – voor feiten in de toekomst;
• – om te voorspellen wat er zal gaan gebeuren;
• – om aan te bieden iets te doen.
• Vorm: will + het hele werkwoord. Je kunt ook de korte vorm ’ll gebruiken.
• In het Nederlands zeg je dan: ‘Ik zal ...’; ‘Het zal ...’ enzovoorts.

Voorbeelden

1. Our guests will arrive around ten o’clock.
   Onze gasten zullen rond tien uur aankomen.
2. There'll be lots of sunshine tomorrow.
   Er zal morgen veel zonneschijn zijn.
3. I’ll carry that for you.
   Ik zal dat voor je dragen.

Will - Ontkennende zinnen

Bij ontkennende zinnen gebruik je won’t + het hele werkwoord. 

Won’t is een afkorting van will not, maar will not wordt bijna nooit gebruikt.

Voorbeelden

1. Gioia won’t pass this test.
   Gioia zal niet slagen voor deze toets.
2. You won’t feel a thing, I promise.
   Je zult er niets van voelen, dat beloof ik.
3. We won’t ask you again.
   We zullen het je niet nog een keer vragen.

Will - vragende zinnen

• Bij vragen met I en we gebruik je shall in plaats van will:

• Will you help me look for my keys?
  Zou je me willen helpen zoeken naar mijn sleutels?
• Shall I open the door for you?
  Zal ik de deur voor je opendoen?
• Shall we bring them some chocolate?
  Zullen we wat chocola voor hen meenemen?

Grammar - Toekomst: Will

+	Will / 'll + hele ww	I'll be there at eight o'clock.
-	won't + hele ww	He won't be at they party tonight.
?	I/we: shall + hele ww	Shall we carry those bags?
?	you/he/she/it/they: will + hele ww	Will you meet me there?
