Zet in de Past Simple.

Zet de werkwoorden in de verleden tijd: 

1. Check de lijst met onregelmatige werkwoorden.

Kies de 2e vorm.

2. Niet in de lijst? dan '+ed' . Let op de spelling:

    drop-dropped

    play-played, maar try-tried

Maak de zinnen vragend:

*Stap 1: staat er 'was-were-could' in de zin? Zet dat vooraan en plaats achteraan een ?

  It was cold. - Was it cold.

*Stap 2: staat er een ander werkwoord in, heb je 'did' nodig vooraan de vraag.

  Let op!!: het werkwoord mag dan niet meer in de verleden tijd!!

  They needed a lot of water. - Did they need a lot of water?

Maak ontkennend (= met 'not')

*Stap 1: staat er 'was-were-could' in de zin, zet daar dan 'not' achter.

  They could stay if they wanted to. - They could not (couldn't) stay if they wanted to.

*Stap 2: staat er een ander werkwoord, gebruik 'didn't'. Zet dat vóór het werkwoord.

  Let op!!!: het werkwoord mag niet meer in de verleden tijd staan!!

  He saw a seal on the beach. - He didn't see a seal on the beach.
