Present simple: gewoontes, routines en feiten in de tegenwoordige tijd. 

                                   "He lives in Amsterdam."                 "I always cycle to school."

*SHIT-regel: voeg bij he/she/it een -s toe aan het werkwoord!  > lives

Present contiunous: dingen die op dit moment gebeuren.

                                     "I am speaking at the moment."      "My brother is sleeping, please be quiet."
