Aims:

Grammar: Using the conditionals (0-3) in given sentences (p91 + 93)

Outcomes:

You know when the 0,1,2 conditionals are used 

You can use the 0-2 conditionals correctly in given sentences (p.91)

You know when the 3rd conditional is used

You can use the 3rd condtional correctly in given sentences ( p.95)

Zero conditional

Use: for facts / general truths

Form: if + present simple, present simple

First conditional

Use: refers to a possible condition and its probable result.

Form: if + present simple, simple future

Second conditional

Use: refers to an unlikely or hypothetical condition and its probable result.

Form: if + past simple, would + infinitive

Fill in the zero conditional:
If it ... (rain), the grass ... (get) wet.

Fill in the first conditional:
If he ... (go) to Paris next month, he ... (visit) the Eiffel Tower.

Fill in the second conditional:
If England ... (have) better weather, it ... (be) the perfect place to live.

3^rd conditional

Use: It talks about the past. It's used to describe a situation that didn't happen, and to imagine the result of this situation.

Form: if + past perfect, ...would + have + past participle

Example: If she had studied, she would have passed the exam.
