Cause
How did it begin?
In early 2014, Crimea was taken by Russia. The people's republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, which are supported by Russia, also declared their independence. This led to a war in eastern Ukraine. On February 24, 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine and this battle is still going on. Ukraine wanted to trade more with America than with Russia, which Putin saw as a threat. That’s is also a reason for Putin to fight Ukraine.
