Speeches: an overview

• Around 5 lessons -  in which we will explore and learn how to write your own speech in English.
  
• In pairs, you will then write a speech of 2 minutes.
  
• One of you will perform this speech in front of the class - while the other will prepare feedback on this same speech.
  

Leerdoelen:

I.    Retorische technieken identificeren in gesproken speeches en deze toepassen.
II.    Onderzoekend lezen over een onderwerp wat zij belangrijk vinden
III.    een speech schrijven over een voor henzelf belangrijk onderwerp
IV.    Engels op niveau spreken voor klasgenoten in een speech van ongeveer twee minuten

1. Listening to speeches.

• We will now listen to two speeches.

While listening you will take note of the following things -->

1. What is the speech about?
2. How do they persuade/convince the listener?

Write your answers down on a separate piece of paper. You will be required to input your answers in Lessonup after we finish listening.

• Or... a topic of your own!
