to-infinitive (infinitief)
- Full verb WITH TO in front (to work, to read, to like etc.)
- Serves as the lijdend or meewerkend voorwerp 

ex.
- Jochem loves to play the drums tomorrow.
- I decided to go shopping today.
- Bart hopes to see his son soon.

WHAT IS THE -ING FORM?
The -ing form is the base form of the verb followed by -"ing"
walk
sing
do
read
walking
singing
doing
reading

REMEMBER / FORGET
If you remember or forgot something that happened in the past, you use the -ing form 
I remember locking the door.
I won't forget doing that.

I will remember to lock the door.
I won't forget to do that.
If you need to remember or (not) forget something that hasn't happened yet, you use the to-infinitive

USED TO
If something was a habit in the past
you use the to-infinitive 
We used to read every day.
He used to go to school.
We are used to reading every day.
He is used to going to school.
If you are familiar with doing something, 
you use the -ing form and "to be"

MEAN
If you mean "to intend", 
you use the to-infinitive
I didn't mean to scare you.
This means starting all over.

If you mean "to have a particular result", 
you use the -ing form

If you mean "attempting to do something",
