Als je wilt zeggen dat iets nú gebeurt gebruik je de
present continuous. 

I am sunbathing at the beach.

IMPORTANT!

Voor de present continuous gebruik je het werkwoord to be en de ing-vorm van het werkwoord.

• We are enjoying the sun.
• They are playing in the snow.
• You are walking in the rain.

IMPORTANT!

De present continuous is anders dan de present simple die je in lesson 18 hebt geleerd! De present simple wordt voor feiten en gewoontes gebruikt:

present simple:

• It almost never snows in California.
• I always walk to school in the rain.

voor feiten, gewoonte, of iets wat vaak gebeurt.

present continuous:

• It is snowing in California, can you believe it?
• I am walking in the rain.

Iets wat nú gebeurt.
