Je gebruikt een 'tag question' om te checken of wat jij denkt klopt, of om er achter te komen wat iemand vindt.

De 'regels'

1. Je gebruikt het hulpwerkwoord uit de zin om een question tag te maken:

James is working on that. Isn't he?

Your phone didn't ring? Did it?

2. Geen hulpwerkwoord in de zin? Gebruik "To do" ( Don't , Didn't, Doesn't)

Let op! als de zin geschreven is met " to be" dus I am / he is/ they are. dan gebruik je het werkwoord "to be" voor de question tag.

Let op!

Als het gaat om de ik-vorm ( I ). en de question tag is negatief. -> I am happy that there is a long weekend next week. Aren't I?

Word het niet Am not I? maar "Aren't I?"

Bestudeer deze zin bedenk waarom er geen NOT voor of na de komma staat. Doe dit in gedachten, niet hardop!
