Posessive pronouns
Bezittelijk voornaamwoord met zelfstandig naamwoord erachter:
  • mijn huis       my house
  • haar hond     her dog

Bezittelijk voornaamwoord zonder zelfstandig naamwoord erachter.
  • Dat is niet jouw bal, het is de mijne = That is not your ball, it's mine.
  • Mevrouw! Dat is niet zijn pen, het is de hare = Miss! That's not his pen, it's hers.

Bezittelijk voornaamwoord: of mine/ of yours / etc..
Lijkt op my, your, her, etc... Hiermee verwijs je terug naar een zelfstandignaamwoord.
  • Hij is een goede vriend van mij = He's a great friend of mine
